IBM Worklight Client Architecture
Apache Cordova is an important element in IBM Worklight’s client architecture. IBM Worklight provides the highest levels of development flexibility, allowing developers to leverage the same architecture to build downloadable web, native and hybrid applications based on the specific business needs and IT requirements of the organization.
Apache Cordova is an open source mobile development
framework that enables the creation of cross-platform mobile apps that can
access native device features over a uniform API using web technologies (HTML5,
CSS and JavaScript).
Targeting multiple mobile platforms and a variety of form
factors in a cost-effective manner is a major consideration when developing a
mobile platform. To help achieve this capability, we embedded the Apache
Cordova framework into IBM Worklight.
